In addition to its size, the historical background of Frankfurt Messe is also remarkable. The first trade fair in Frankfurt in the form of a meeting place for traders and business people was held back in the Middle Ages, around 800 years ago.
Today, some of the most important trade fairs in the world are hosted at this location. These include the Achema chemicals fair and the Ambiente and Tendence consumer goods fairs. In addition, the world’s largest book fair, the Frankfurt Book Fair, has been held there since the 15th century. A total of around 50 trade fairs attract up to two million visitors to the Frankfurt Fair every year.

From the nearest airport, Frankfurt, we can take you comfortably to the exhibition grounds within approx. 15 minutes by car. But even from surrounding or more distant cities, the exhibition grounds are easy to reach thanks to the direct motorway connection.
